"Dear Lord. We pray for the families and friends of those who lost their lives in an unspeakable tragedy in our neighbourhood on Saturday evening, April 27th. We pray your healing for the injured and traumatized. We pray for justice and an end to violence in our city. We pray with thanksgiving for the Filipino community in Vancouver, and all the gifts this vibrant culture brings to the neighbourhood in which our parish is situated. Be with them, and all the grieving, comforting them with the assurance of your promises. We pray this in Jesus' name."
